I didn’t get to the ‘Week End’ post picks. But today feels like the weekend because tomorrow we all get back to work!
Enjoy~
Kinda freaky, but fascinating and interesting at the same time:

Ambergris – Do you know what it is? Hint: it’s not a rock. READ HERE
Repost from the Chum – looks kinda cool!

AND I have a confession to make today. There have been quite a few posts about carp lately. Carp Slam. Carp Week etc… I squirm every time I see a picture of a carp. I’ve never seen one up close and personal in real life and I’m not sure I want to. Those lips—ewww!!! ::shiver::

I just learned what ambergris was, there was some kid who recently discovered a 15k – 67k size amergris rock, and when they explained what it was, I must admit I couldn’t stop laughing. lol
Just think, when you catch your first Carp….you have to kiss it on the lips for luck….
No…really
Those hyperrealistic sculptures are fascinating. Some of them look as if the are real people. The detail is amazing.
Wow, I did not know that whale poop could be worth a small fortune, see you learn soemthing new every day.
I dont know if I would give a carp one of those Jimmy Huston bass kisses either
That camera is very intriguing. I’ve struck out on my last 4,000 attempts to win the GoPro “Everything We Make” gig…I think it is rigged. My pre-HD GoPro left a lot to be desired so I haven’t been quick to pull the trigger on buying one. I’m pretty drawn to that Sony now.
Carp are meh. Fight like a mofo, but a greasy slimy mess to set free.
It will be interesting to see the Sony reviews and how it stacks up. Eww…slimy carp – I just don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to fish those.
Just got a free carp fly the other day but I’m not sure if I want to use it.

Went to the Ron Mueck exhibit a few years ago at the Modern Art museum in Fort Worth. It was amazing. The detail is absurd. One of the most interesting details about his work is the differences in size. Some are tiny like they were built for a doll house. Some are close to life size. Others take up an entire room.
Ambergris sounds like a breakfast item on a diner menu. Lol. Ambergris and hash browns, mmmmmm.
Carp lips in person are so sweet and soft!
