What is the best way to celebrate your fly fishing anniversary?
Go on a fishing trip of course!
And we went to RMNP – Rocky Mountain National Park.

We totally lucked out. Perfect weather. Fantastic fishing.
The best fishing companion – my hubby.
I couldn’t have asked for more.

While fishing those quiet bends I had a lot of time to reflect.
One thing I hope to be able to do in the next year, is take an Entomology class.
I really have no idea what 98% of the bugs in my box are called.
If it looks good I buy it or tie one up and put it in my box.
Simple right?
I think it frustrates Zach when he asks -
“What did you catch that fish on?” and I reply -
“I dunno, a green fuzzy thing with a parachute, size pinky fingernail.”
So yeah. That’s on my bucket list.

I was really surprised I caught all Brown trout – no Brookies this time.

Except I did catch this obligatory stick trout,
although I couldn’t determine it’s breed. :P

Fishilicious <3 product of the trip?
Shimazaki Dry Shake Spray
A couple of tips for this stuff:
It’s damn expensive – so don’t get crazy with the spray!
Try not to get it on your fingers- cuz it sticks!

Happy Fly Fishing Everyone!
