It’s been almost exactly 1 year since I first picked up a fly rod.
I think I can safely say I’ve come a LONG way since.
I’ve learned so much — about –
fishing, myself, my life, my friends, the world I live in –
I’ve made friends, I’ve listened,
I’ve lived and I love.
This weekend I’m at IFTD here in Reno.
It’s been fantastic.
Meeting people. Learning new things.
Seeing and touching new gear, new products –
Even if they aren’t new to you – most of it’s new to me!
I’m having a lot of fun, I’m glad I came.
I’m excited to share what I’ve learned with you.
I’m excited to share products with you!!
The last few months have caught me in a whirlwind,
I haven’t been able to blog as much as I’d like –
BUT the winds have changed in my favor recently
and I’ll have much more time to dedicate to my fishing adventures
and sharing those here, with you.
I want you to know I’ll keep it fresh, quirky and honest.
I want you to know I’m real.
I’m not about making money in the industry.
Fishing is my passion, what I enjoy.
It’s my therapy.

. Jenn – was an absolute pleasure meeting / sharing our story with you. You’re a breath of fresh air – and I love how you prove – on a daily basis – that anyone (regardless of background or skill) find joy in time in the river. Tight Lines!
It was nice to meet you in Reno at the women’s seminar. If you ever get into Salt Lake please look Ken or I up. We tried to catch up with you after the seminar but you vanished. Cast a fly over the water is an amazing and beautiful thing. Let me know if there is anything I can do to make your experience more enjoyable…..Western Rivers Flyfisher
PS: love the blog!
I missed it this year. From what i have seen and heard from others it was great. Putting it on the calendar for next year. Good fishing!

Strange that that is the day of my oldest daughter’s birthday. Cool connection. I’ve only been fishing since April and continue to learn everytime I go out. Love the blog. Thanks for giving the flyfishing community a female voice!
If you are ever out near SLC, Ut, I’d love to fish with you!
