As I drove South through Colorado Springs
& then West on Hwy 24 towards Lake George on Saturday,
I was very touched by the numerous public displays
saying THANK YOU to the Firefighters
who have been so vigilant protecting our communities as of late.
Including the gorgeous 11 Mile Canyon.
I’m also so very thankful for the much needed recent rain.
Even though it blew out my fishing hole –
But I’ll certainly take temporarily blown out over burnt!! Until next time 11 Mile – I’ll be back!

Know the sentiments you express Jen, lots of my favorite fishing spots are still recovering/rebuilding/restocking after our last bushfire catastrophies.
We had such a loss of life and loss of communities last time – things will never be the same but regrowth and rebuilding continues.
Rgds,
